Default Nav Lights

I just replaced both nav lights (red & green) including the entire mounting housing etc.. on my 2003 2700SCR. The lights were working but the lens and the cover plate were cracked. It seems to be a simple install connect gray wire to gray and black to black. After the install I flipped the nav toggle switch and in one second the breaker kicks out. Any suggestions on where to start looking?

sounds like you have a direct short...which is what is causing the breaker to pop....check the wiring again...

You won't believe well maybe you will. I disconnect the port side wires from the light base. Flipped toggle switch and the breaker did NOT trip. The starboard light was working. I removed the light base completely and checked all of the wiring. The filament was fine on the bulb. I put an old bulb in and the it worked. The new light bulb had a dead short in it from the manufacture. Thanks for your help!
