Default Horn switch replacement

Been watching some u tube videos on how to remove a rocker switch. I have a bad switch for my horn on my 2001 maxum 3000. Has anyone replaced theirs? Any tricks of the trade that would be helpful to know?

Thanks to all that answer

Roger

Yea get the right on which is a momentary switch other than that I believe it’s just held in by molded in spring fingers that you need to depress to remove it. One more thing be sure to mark the wires so you can reinstall them correctly.

One more thing to add, I was able to pull my old cover off and swap covers with the new switch so everything matched.

On my 1997, the entire dash panel had to come out. The carling switches had squeeze tabs to release it from the dash on the inside.
