Default Hoping lakes are higher

So not long before putting the boat up last year we were out crusing along (luckily very low speed) when a sudden awful sound and bounce. We hit bottom. Sadly it was rock at about 1.5 feet. I had been over this spot countless times earlier in the season, many times at speed. This was in lake Erie, that was the last outing there. I've never seen the lake as low as the end of last season. About 3 feet below what I'd say is normal, maybe more. Many cottagers were having to extend their intake lines. Anybody else getting these problems?
Luckily only suffered "minor" damage. I now have this real neat serrated skeg, but still waiting to get main prop fixed, still have back up on boat.
