Question Help - Need to Source Replacement Fuel Gauge

Hi Folks. I need to replace the fuel gauge on my 2003 Maxum 2400SC. I'm based in the UK. Any advice on the best place to purchase this?

Many thanks,

Ernie welcome aboard.

The gauges are made by Faria and they can repair them if you contact them. Otherwise search the WEB for a new one or try you local marine store

BTY have you verified it's the gauge and not the sending unit in the gas tank?

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the response and the help.

I've found one online at Great Lakes Skipper. Including the postage costs from the states it will cost me about $100.

I've haven't checked the sending unit on the tank yet but I'm going down to her this week so can check then.

Is it easy to check this or should I get the onsite mechanic to do this?

Thanks

Remove the sense wire from the sending unit and touch it to ground with the ignition key on. The gauge should go to full position, if it does the sending unit is bad else the gauge.
