Default Fuel gauge and Tach

Hello,

Just got my 1700 XR Force 90 back from repair. Long story of stator and pack repair but runs awesome now.

Good news it runs great at home and am ecstatic. Bad news nothing on fuel gauge or tach. Volt gauge is fine.

Not sure the relationship and the shop just closed. I am looking for hints on why these two are not working? They disconnected in the shop at motor? Anything else to look?

Thanks in advance.

Fuel gauge should be independent of the motor unless it’s not getting power. Not sure about the other two but it’s time to break out 5he voltmeter.

Well if you have lights then there is connections to positive and negative on the gauges.

Wanted to come back and update.

Still have the fuel gauge problem but now at least have the tach back. After calling into CDI support desk and informing them of everything he clued me in that the green wire off the stator (CDI) to the rectifier on the side of the starter frame may be on the wrong connector. Sure enough switching that worked.

My mechanic for all the wiring he had to do simply missed it. Now onto the fuel gauge.
