Default Fuel Gauge

As you can imagine, my fuel gauge goes passed F when the switch is on. Bottom line is does not work properly. It makes me think that it is wired incorrectly. Does anyone have any suggestions? This is on a 1750SR.

I would start at the sender end first and disconnect the sense wire from the sender, if the gauge drops to E then the gauge and loom is ok, if so then take out the sender it could just be stuck in the up position
