Default AM/FM Radio replacement

I have a 1999 3200SCR with factory installed JVC am/fm cassette radio with 12 cd disc changer that is no longer working. Radio model KS-FX240, no longer available. Does anyone know of a replacement that will wire up and fit into the same footprint as the old radio?

Thanks

"C" Ottor

Tom

Tom,
Same footprint; no problem, that is a single din receiver. It will fit right in the existing slot and may come with a trim piece to give it a clean look.
Wire right up; very unlikely. Your new head unit will come with a wiring harness to plug into the back of the unit. There will be wires leading into the new plug that you will need to connect to your existing wiring. You will need to know the wire colors for the positive and negative inputs for your existing speakers, and connect them to plug for the new head unit.
Crutchfield provides excellent customer service and can talk you through an installation. I'm glad to assist also.

When I install a new stereo, I see if there are labels on the wires to begin with. I cut the wires leaving the labels on the boat harness-side. Then follow the schematic for the new radio. Sometimes the speakers need a little testing and tweaking if they're not labeled. Testing fading FWD/Back; L&R verifies you have it right.
