Default Accessing Sending Unit for 1997 Maxum 3000 scr

Hi folks - I'm wondering if anyone knows how to access the fuel tanks on a Maxum 3000 scr?

Mine has two tanks (port and starboard). The fuel gauge for the port side is always reading full when the key is on, so I'd like to check the connections from the sending unit to see if the ground or sending wires have become disconnected from the sending unit. The issue is I'm not sure how to access the tanks/sending unit. Any tips would be great.

Thanks very much.

Starboard side is accessed via a removable panel In the aft cabin.
The upholstered panel is held on by Velcro and can be pried out.
Reading lights can remain installed, there is enough slack in the wires.

Port side is thru the sink locker. There is a access panel in the forward side.
