Default 3rd batt

I would like to add a 3rd batt to my 2400scr. Is it acceptable to just wire it directly from the #2 batt with some cable...have the starting batt on #1 and have two deepcycle batt's on #2....or do I have to get a second switch and run it from there? If I do run it from the #2batt, will the charger still fully charge the two linked?

Cheers
Chris

Hi Chris
I would try it but I would put in a battery isolator and you might need to bump up to a higher amp alternater.
cheers
Paul

thanks, i was thinking of an isolator as well....would be easier than repositioning the batt switch....having to lift the engine cover all the time to switch from batt#1 -both-#2 is a pain in the butt....one of the design flaws of the 2400 I think is the location of the switch!!
