Default 2002 2100 sd

Hi I have the push button start setup and I am looking to go to a keyed ignition. Has anyone done this? Also wanting to upgrade from the stock JVC head unit. If anyone has done either of these let me know thanks in advance. Oh and my VDO gauges work intermittently so would like to swap those out as well.

The JVC Stereo is a standard cutout. Any standard stereo will fit. VDO Gauges are more than likely aftermarket. Maxum used Faria gauges. Any gauge that fits the rough cutout will be fine. Make sure the Tach is for a gas and can handle your number of cylinders.

Ignition should be any means to close the circuit whether it be by key, button or toggle switch. Mine is a simple [Momentary On - On - OFF] toggle switch for example.

Shew what he has is the VDO push button ignition system that used a 4 digit pin to start. These are know to go bad and no longer supported by VDO. One needs the wiring diagram for this system to figure out how to retire for a conventional ignition switch. Not sure if his gauges are impacted by this one off system.

Hey folks haven't swapped to keyed yet having trouble finding a wire diagram for that model. Gauges were a loose connection. Still looking to swap the head unit out but need to know what kind of wiring harness I can use to go from jvc to sony. Thanks
