Default 1989 Maxum 2000 - Accessory Switch/Cigarette Lighter

I was looking at wiring a cigarette lighter plug in my boat for cell phone charging and hooking up a power inverter so I could use my pump to blow up tubes. I was hoping I could use one of the accessory switches that I know are not being used but I know nothing about wiring. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Has anyone done this ? I already have the plug mounted on my dash.

Welcome aboard!

The pump will draw more current than the phone charger so I would find a spare accessory fuse block connection that has a fuse rate higher than the pumps current rating.

Thank you for your response. I was able to get the cigarette lighter adapter hooked up and it is working fine. As far as the pump goes, I have not tried that yet. I was hoping that the power inverter that I was going to be using would regulate the power instead of pulling it all from the cigarette lighter. If I do end up trying it, I will post back here and let you know the results.
