12v connector?

i have a maxum 2300scr and i would like to get a 12volt floodlight but is there anyway to hook it up in a simpelway to the electrical system or should i get a converter so i just plug it in to the regular 220volts wallsocket in the cabin?

this is all completely new for me so please be gentle

Most 12V appliances use a cigarette plug so you just need to add the mating receptacle.

220v wall socket (I assume you're not in the US) is AC. 12v is DC. Are you looking into installing a permanently mounted spot light? You will more than likely use an empty slot on the fuse panel, wired to a Aux switch at the helm. This would go to the light control unit, then out to the light. The ground would need to come back to the panel as well.
