Default Party on the Potomac

Hello all,

I joined last year, but while I could log in, I could not post (Restricted for some reason). I re registered today and TA DA, I can post.

I am the second owner of a 97 Maxum 3000SCR with 4.3s (Booo, I know, I didn't order from new so you get what you get) and a Gen set. I've owned her for two summers and like almost everything about her. I'm located in Dahlgren, VA on the Potomac.

I'm new, less than three years, to the area. I grew up in New Orleans and prefer boiled crabs to steamed, but when in Rome....I've been exploring the Potomac from DC to Cole's point, and I'd like to see more. Any suggestions are welcome and any events I don't know about but shouldn't miss would be most appreciated. I just serviced the old girl and I'm ready to cruise. The wife and I like weekend over nighters but the fuel bill keeps me within arms length.

Nice to be here and thanks for all the info on the site, I really needed it last year doing all my own work.

Glad you and the wife are enjoying the boat.

Not my neck of the woods so no advice here other than events at National harbor
