Default Newbie and New Maxum 1800MX

Hi, newbie on the forum. Bought my first boat a few months ago and fitted a wakeboard tower. Was a scary thought drilling holes in my boat. Anyway here are some before and after pictures. Just about to winterise the boat in a few weeks time, then count the weeks until the next season.

Welcome Chris, you don't seem to be the only Maxum at the dock there in Scotland. Are there alot of Maxums there?

Yeah quite a few Maxum's, but a very wide selection of boats too. Mixture of inflatable towing, skiing, wakeboarding, fishing and cruising. Can get quite busy some weekends, but the Loch is big enough to go find a quiet stretch.

New Maxum owner here. Just closed and took possession of a 1994 Maxum 3200 SCR with the twin 7.4L mercruisers. I'll be doing a few repairs and upgrades over the next couple of weeks and then bringing it down to my slip on Lake Washington (I'm in Seattle, the boat is currently in Everett) for a re-christening ceremony. There are three other SCRs in my marina (a 3200, 3000, and 2400). I'm looking forward to being back out on the water!

This forum is a great resource and helped me a lot in my boat search. It took me almost a year to find the right boat at the right price, but I'm glad to be in the Maxum Owner's Club at last.

Here she is. I just piloted her down from Everett to my slip on Lake Washington this past weekend. It was a cold, wet cruise, but the boat handled it great.
