NC has many boating lakes. I have been on Kerr reservoir, Jordan Lake, and Lake Norman which are all finger type lakes with really nice state and federal parks and campgrounds. There is also the ICW (Inter-coastal Waterway) and all of the Outerbanks to explore. Just remember to give your boat , engine, and trailer a good freshwater wash down.
