Welcome Aboard!

Based on the picture it’s a 2300 cuddy not a 2400 SCR which is a cruiser with a galley and full head.

Enjoy

Hi Mike,
Thank you for your welcoming message and for your remark about the exact type of my boat. By reading past exchanges, I had asked myself this question, although my official navigation documents do mention 2400 scr.
Thanks to the forum, I got in touch with this fantastic guy, Doug Dawson, who sells copies of boat brochures. http://www.oldboatbrochures.com
By sending my ordered copy, he told me this:"A little history on the model numbers. In 1988, your boat was called a 2300 SCR, in 1989 and 1990, it was called a 2400 SCR and you will see in the 1991 brochure that it was renamed the 2400 SC because the SCR nomenclature applies to the Sport Cruiser as opposed to the Sport Cuddy.2[/I]
I am grateful to Doug for clarifying this issue and hope that it will help other members.
My job next season will be to monitor and fix all the little problems that have accumulated over the years and I hope to find some information from the club members.
With best regards to all of you

Not sure I agree with what he told you as I have a 1997 2400 SCR; these were made from 1994 to about 2003. Prior to 1994 the boat was a 2300 SCR and after 2003 it became a 2500 SE. These have a full galley, enclosed head and midberth cabins. What you have is a 2400 SC (sport cuddy) and doesn’t have the features the SCR does. You can go to yachtworld.com and search on the 2400 SCR to see the differences.

<1993 They made two models:

2200 SC
2400 SCR

The model in the picture looks like a 2200SC, rather than a 2400SCR (however sideways pictures that small can be deceiving). What is the HIN? That should indicate the actual model.

1952SC = Serial # ID: MW
2200SC = Serial # ID: MH
2400SCR = Serial # ID: MS

Hi and thanks to all of you for your pertinents remarks.
The HIN is USK B16 MKC.......
Anyway, here is the link of an extract of the original 1990 Maxum brochure.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1shS...ew?usp=sharing

Obviously, the boat shown is exactly the model I own and it's named 2400scr. you will see views of the inside as well, with a little galley, u.s.o.
Anyway, the name has been changed into 2400 SC since 1991 because the SCR nomenclature applies to the Sport Cruiser as opposed to the Sport Cuddy and this can explain you questions.It all seems clear now

I do, however, have an outstanding question about the type of seals for the walk-thru door. There must be two different type for the vertical and the horizontal side of the windshield door. Any reference-number to tell me please?
thank you in advance
Steevie
