Hi there!

I'm a new Maxum owner. A '99 built hull, 2000 1st reg 1900SC sport seating layout with 4.3 v6 190hp merc engine.

This is my very first boat and I'm very excited =) but also a little bit anxious because, in fact, I still don't know what will change in my daily/holidays routine. This is not so easy toy to own and handle :S

I'm a combustion engines passionate guy in spite of Europe's green trends (sorry! :\) so I hope this boat could be the beginning of awesome moments!

Hope we can share some adventures and knowledge, here in the club!

Spousal welcome aboard

This size boat is easy to handle and maintain as far as boats go.

Big thing to remember is there are no brakes, so once shifted into neutral the boat will continue moving and be influenced by current and wind directions.

Hence go slow and shift in and out of gear in close quarters. The saying is do not go faster than you are willing to hit something.

Also you should look into a boating safety class.

Do you have any boating friends that can give you on water tips?
