New Member: 1996 Maxum 2000SR

Hi y'all., Let me start by introducing myself
Im Sjuul(Jules), Hailing from The Netherlands.
After having numerous amazing summers in my childhood on a boat I decided to take matters in my own hands. So here we are
To cut the story short: I'm in the market to buy a 1996 Maxum 2000SR with the following specs:

Maxum 2000SR Mercruiser v6 4,3 liter.


Fuel: Gasoline
Engine power: 140 kW / 191HP
Length: 590 cm
Width: 230 cm

If you guys have any pointers for me regarding.. anything?

Welcome aboard!

First and foremost is be sure to take the boat out to verify that there are no performance issues. Be sure the engine can achieve WOT which is 4200-4800 rpm. Check the gear lube for metal shavings and water. Check engine oil color. If you can remove the spark plugs to see how they look and perform a compression test.
