great site. I have had the boat since 5/2002 i didn't know you guys were out there , i put in a rebuilt 7.4liter 2.5 seasons ago , and added a merc. 1/2 freshwater cooling system, my prob is the over flow tank will fill up But not drain back into the heat exchanger , untill you crack the cap on the heat exchanger. ANY IDEAS . the tank is mounted on the wall above the gas tank. i had the exchanger neck replaced, along w another merc 16 lb cap....

Eddy are you looking to sell the boat as this is the classified thread? If not this should have been posted under engines.

Is the overflow tank mounted at the same level or above the top of the heat exchanger? If mounted too low this will cause the issue you have. Also is the tank vented? If not it needs to be.
