New guy - old boat!
Hi, everyone! I'm in the UK and have just bought a 1997 Maxum 2000 SCL with 4.3L Mercruiser that needs some tender, loving care. She was laid up for quite a while but the previous owner has sorted all of the mechanical issues and the engine is now running smoothly, if a little rich! I've bought her to restore as a fine example of a 'modern classic' US sport boat and she needs a fair amount of cosmetic/minor bodywork. I'm going to need a lot of help with sourcing bits and pieces that may not be available in the UK and generally getting her back to as near original condition as possible.
