Default New 2700SRC owner

Hello guys!

I am from Belgium and have bought a 1992 2700SRC with the engine total loss, but otherwise in very good shape.
I am building a new 7.4l engine from scratch at this moment.

Thanks for all the info on this forum!

I'm in Leuven and just bought an 1800 SR3.
I'm urgently looking for an expert to check the boat. (Purchase dependent on engine check). Any referrals would be great!

Also, where do you source parts for your boat?

Hi Sven, i am from Dendermonde.
Does that boat have a 4.3L?
Why don't you take the boat to a dealer near you and let them check the engine?
I get my motor parts from Summit, Rockauto, Jegs, Skipwhite performance... all in the US.
Filters, oil, etc. mostly from Poort watersport in holland.
Exhaust parts from repowermarine in the UK

There appear to be a number of marine surveyors in the area. I'd also check with any Mercruiser dealership that does service. Or any certified Mercruiser mechanic.

Yep, 4.3 TKS. Hope they won't ban carbs anytime soon.
It's been discussed and with all the "green" people in power,...

I don't have a dealer "nearby" but I found a guy and he'll come over on Saturday. Hope it all works out.

Thanks for the advice!

I can't speak for the EU or your country, but USUALLY bans apply to manufacturing and import of items, not existing items. You can't buy a new 2 stroke outboard (US), but anyone who has one can still use it.
