Default New 1999 Maxum 2300 SC owner.

Just bought it this past Sunday, I'm the 2nd owner.

Having difficulties locating manuals for this boat; owners, service and maintenance.

Never owned a boat, never operated a boat before so, I think it'll be wise to read through owner's manual and familiarize myself with controls and operation before I even think about getting out in the water.

Does ANYONE know where I can download or buy a paperback version of manuals?

A link to where I can buy parts would be nice as well.

Welcome aboard

The owners manual doesn't tell you how to operate the boat or much else IMO. I suggest you take a boating class as well as find a service like first captain to teach you how to operate the boat.

Engine and outdrive manuals can be found under Documents of this site.

Default Thanks, Mike.

I do plan on the online course and are searching for a boating class/private instructor right now.

I do have few co-workers in my work place who own smaller bass boat/aluminum boat but, none of them actually own a boat with I/O motor and controls.

Since they all own outboard motored boats, I'm not seeking out help from them.

I plan on taking my boat out AFTER passing the safety course in near by water way but, not brave enough to go put to sea yet.

Thanks for the info.

The first time you are ready to hit the water I recommend taking a week day off so there is much less traffic. Practice maneuvering the boat at idle making tight turn in forward and reverse to get the feel for her.

Relax it will come to you.
