Default Hi!

Hi guys, Im new to Maxum ownership and this forum. 40YO father of two girls and living in Norway.

On sunday Im gonna pick up my new boat, its a Maxum 2300 SR bow rider with the big V-8 7.4mpi engine. Pictures will follow!

I had a 2300 SCR (cuddy) with that engine package and the BIII outdrive..It flat out moved. You'll be happy with it.

I hope so. It has the Bravo3 aswell.. gonna pull of the leg and replace all the bellows and gimbal bearing before I put it into work, just to be safe.

Seller claims 50 knots on this one, does that check out in real life aswell?

I doubt I every got 50knots but then I'm not a speed daemon . I like to cruise, not in a hurry on the water.

Congrats on the new boat. You may want to replace the impeller as well.

I suspect she will do high 40's with no problem.

Yeah, I think so too. If you do the math with rpm, gear ratio and propeller pitch it maxes out at 53 knots. Theres always some slippage so 50 is probably maybe just barely within reach with almost empty gas tank, alone with empty bladder and perfect hull with no seaweed attached :-)
