Default Hi

Hi Folks

Just saying hello as I hope to have a Maxum 2400SCR by the weekend and I'm hoping your experience may be of help in the future.

Default BoatPoll

I would like to know what Maxum's we have represented on this board.

My own is a 2004 Maxum 2100SC with a normally aspirated 5 liter Merc. It will touch 50mph barely, (with a tail wind) but tach says it is only turning 4000RPM (about 300 - 500 low). Local mechanic says the tach is probably not reading out correctly, but can't know for sure without putting it in the tank.

I suppose this is fast enough, since it goes through gas faster than I want to pay when in WOT. Love to hear from the rest of you.

We have Franco's Cousin-
2000 2100SCZ- Z= Sport seating and 350mag /300hp with a Brovo 1 out drive.
We really like the sport seating. It has 2 swivel captians seat up front with 1 long bench seat and a huge sun pad in the rear.
The boat has done 67 mph (on GPS) but we spend most of our time cruising at 35mph. That seems to be the sweet spot for our combination, but it is fun to catch up to and pass the other makes/models that cost twice as much

Default HOWDY!!

new to the forum here...finally figured it all out....nice to meet up with other maxum owners.....we own a 2700SCR engineering boat....6.2ltr mpi eng. b3 drive...westerbeke genny...vacuflush head...AC...windlass....and god only knows what else.....really nice boat and runs like a raped ape....the 6.2 is a great engine...responsive and accurate to run...weight of a small block and the power of a big block.....the B3 drive really makes docking almost like twins......
We live in Everett Wa,..and boat on the puget sound...pretty awesome out here as we can boat all yr long.....

Sea Puppy’s boat is probably on of the nicest 27 Maxums around. It has just about every option and upgrade Maxum can put on the boat. Add Pups options like Satellite TV and surround sound and you can almost live on it!

Engineering boats-Since we both live next door where Maxums are built- Arlington WA, our boats are a little different from the ones that generally make in to production!
