Default Future Maxum Owner ?

Hi there !

Living in Montreal, QC, just arrived from France this summer (so please excuse my english )
I'm used to rent boat in Europe and due to the far lowest price over there, I'm looking forward to own mine :-D

I've visited yesterday a 2004 Maxum 2900 SR in a *mint* condition. 620hr, one owner, 2* 4.3 Alpha one .
Previous owner is working in the ... coastguard ! Certainly explaining why the boat is such in a good shape compared to others I visited (with even lower hours and years).

Just with old cars (I'm fond of old cars too :-) ), my guess is that it's better to buy an older, higher hours boat that is properly maintained with lots of love, than a more recent boat (and more expensive though !!) with lots of small picks that shows a less careful owner....

The one I saw doesn't have A/C but as far as I understood it's not a big deal to add with aftermarket parts.

Well, any hints or advise will be welcome and maybe I'll get back as a Maxum owner soon :-D

Cheers,
Yves.
