You should have posted this in his thread. Philadelphia is a long way from the west coast.

You know what's funny is I do at times scour the nation using boattrader etc to find whatever vessel it is I'm looking for. Especially being a former C-Dory owner, there is typically only 1-5 MAYBE available in WA, but right now we have a 2400 in mind and the owner has let me know I'm "first in line" once it's socially acceptable to get together again.

At this point, you're probably the ONLY person in line. Many folks are in a holding pattern regarding large purchases until the economy and employment settle out.

Even after Covid-19 passes, unemployment and the economy will take a while to recover.

Plus anyone still in the market is currently waiting to see the bottom fall out of the boating market. Undoubtedly, you will start seeing deeply discounted boats as layoffs are typically followed by the purging of discretionary expenditures.

If I were currently in the market, I would absolutely be holding right now.

Agreed 100%
Catch 22. Glad I didn't buy a month prior to this as rates are lower and prices are down.

Also, wish I had a boat a month earlier than this because social distancing on the water would have been nice last weekend when Seattle had it's first back to back 60F days since October lol
