Should I dewinterize the motor if I won't be using the boat?

I won't be boating this year and will be leaving the boat on the trailer for the next 12 months. The motor is still winterized. I'm wondering if I should have anything done to the motor or will it be fine sitting winterized?

Leave it like it is until you are ready to use it.

There is no point in commissioning a boat you're not going to use and eventually re-winterize again.

My only concern is how much fuel is in the tank? If half I would top it off so that there is little air space to moisture to collect that may result in phase separation if you have E10 gas.

Good idea mmwr. I'll check this weekend.

Also add some Sta Bil Stabilizer.
