Default Warning signal

I haven't used my boat this Australian summer.
I had a new carburettor put through it in the winter.
I have started it regularly and run it until it gets up to temp with earmuffs on. Never any problems.
Today while I was running it, getting it ready for a public holiday, it running beautifully.
To my surprise " a warning noise come on" I had never heard this before and I shut it down straight away.
I waited a while and started it again, all the gauges look normal, although the boat wasn't up to temp. Approximately half tempt.
I can't find anything in the manual about the warning signal.
But I found one thread about a over heating problem at idle.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Regards
