Maxum 2300 SC - Drain Backs up

Hi - new owner of a 1996 Maxum 2300 SC and new to this forum. Hope someone has had some experience around this issue....

When I was washing the cockpit I noticed that my drain located in front of the cudy door started to back up. So my question is where does this drain outlet go to? Does it drain directly outside of the boat via one of the exit wholes or does it go into the bilge and work its way back to the engine compartment where there is a bilge pump? When I checked the engine compartment I didn't see any standing water....so it is a mystery where this water is going.
