Default How do I tell what generation a Mercuiser outdrive is?

I have a 1988 5.0 Mercuiser with (I believe) an Alpha drive unit. How do I tell what generation it is, or if it is even an Alpha?

Looking for the genuine OEM impeller part number, but the online sources ask questions I don't know the answer to.

Here is a picture of the back of the boat.

Being a 1988 you have an Alpha one Gen one. But you can verify by looking at the trim cylinder fasteners. Gen one will have nuts vs Gen two having clips. Bravo drives use an engine mounted raw water pump.

If the impeller is in the lower unit on the driveshaft, what OEM kit would be necessary to buy? All I seem to find is Sierra brand impeller kits. (I want to use OEM based on prior research.)
