Easiest Clean for Cockpit Snap-in Carpet

Hauled out yesterday and it was pouring rain. Storage yard was muddy and we left some dirt on the snap in cockpit carpet. Stupid me should have taken them off first for winter storage.

Anybody have an easy way to clean them up so they will be all set to snap in again next Spring? What about on cold water wash and rinse in the washing machine??
