Default Wiring the toggle switches in the dash. 2004 1900 sr

I am replacing the toggle switches on my 2004 1900 sr. They have never worked because of the previous owners wiring attempt so I need to start scratch. I have new toggles but I have no clue how the wiring goes. Is there a diagram or something I can follow to wire this up correctly? Any help is greatly appreciated. 😃

No wiring diagram that I’m aware of. Can you post some pictures of what you have. Purple is typically 12V positive and Black or Yellow is 12V negative. Other colors would be for the item the switch controls. Are the switch positions labeled, this would be a big help.

I will post pics when I am home. There is a 6 post toggle that feeds multiple toggles. Thats where I am stumped. I suppose trial by error is the next step. lol.

The Sport Boat Owners Supplement manual has basic wiring digrams of the boat/hull, while generic they seem to match what's on the boat, at least from what I've found. All the wiring on my '06 1800SR3 has numbered tags which don't correspond to anything in any manual, so it is a bit of a crap-shoot tracing stuff down.

The only switch I can think of that would feed other switches is nav lights. Usually when the nav lights are on it also illuminates the dash and if there are LEDs on the toggles, it would probably include those as well.
