Default Induction cook tops

I am toying with the idea of changing out my 2 burner ceramic cook top and replacing it with a newer induction style cook top, Has anyone done this before?

I have the 3500 SCR and find that when cooking on the water you are limited with the ceramic cook top, with induction your pan or pot only needs to touch the edge or some of the element area to get even heat across the full pan, with feeding the bunch I would prefer to go induction, I know i could just BBQ out the back but I enjoy also cooking up a storm in the galley and have found the ceramic cook top a pain.

To add to the situation I need to be searching in the USA for the supplier as we operate on 240 Volts here in Australia and no one is willing to order in one cooktop @ 110-120V, I have kept all the boat running on 110 and intend on keeping it that way.

Always love your input so just putting it out there.

Cheers
