Default 3d Lettering For Maxum 1700SR

Just had the boat wet sanded and it came beautiful. The guy that did the work did an excellent job. Unfortunately he broke a couple of my 3D Letters. I checked Great Lakes Skipper's web site they seem to have only the letter "A" in stock. Does anyone know of another source for these letters? Does anyone know who Maxum used as a source vendor for these letters?

Thanks
Kevin

I just had to try and locate some of the decals for my 1999, without any luck I might add. I contacted USmarine and also Bayliner dealers in my state. USmarine is probably your best bet as they can tell you if they have any anywhere, but you will have to go through a dealer or reseller to actually buy them. Bring your checkbook because they aren't cheap when you buy them from Bayliner! My next thought would be to take the existing ones (even if they are still on the boat) to a sign shop and see if they can make you some that match, or duplicate a whole new set that are pretty close to the originals. When I get mine back from the wet sanding and buffing and paint, I am going to try and do that at a local sign shop I worked at years ago. They make all kinds of letters, not just vinyl. Letters are usually easier to duplicate than screen printed/digital (one piece multicolored vinyl graphics). Good luck.

Seapuppy thanks for the info. I just sent USMARINE an email. If I don't hear back from them by Wednesday I'll follow up with a phone call.

Dsbunton-
I'll keep you in mind if I get nowhere with USMarine/Bayliner. If your sign shop has the ability to reproduce these letters I'll probably come begging you for their name and number.

Thanks
Kevin

Hi Warpa1-

I haven't placed an order yet. The information above came from boathelp@usmboats.com. I'll check with my local Bayliner dealer this weekend to confirm that they are indeed the 2 5/8 plastic letters. (I just checked EBAY and Great Lakes Skipper is getting $22.95 USD for the Letter "A".) I'm going to guess that it'll cost about $250.00 USD to do both the starboard and port.

I had seen the letter A going for that money and it does seem awfull expensive for what it is I have all the letters on mine still but the gold is all but gone. I had wondered if i could pull them off and repaint them and then stick them back on.

I bought mine from a Searay dealer who ordered them directly from the manufacturer. I don't recall paying that much money for them 1 1/2 yrs ago. I'lll for a copy of my invoice. that seems high to me. If I recall they were between $12 - $15 USD each.

My gold 3D letters for my 1996 Maxum 1900SR have fallen off / got knocked off. Does anybody know what I could use as an adhesive to put them back on?
Thanks
